As long as you keep denying the biological differences between women and men, you will make feminism part of the war between post-modernism and science, the “science war”. Then science-minded people like me (and that includes many women) will become your enemy and not your ally. We will claim the right to call ourselves feminists, just not of the same brand of feminism as you.

There is a lot of scientific evidence about the biological differences between women and men. So many that today you cannot apply for a grant to the National Institutes of Health without explaining how you going to address sex differences. They are summarized in books like The Blank Slate, by Steven Pinker. So, when you state that there are not such biological differences you come across as dogmatic.

This is an important issue because it leads to men-hatred, which you claim to oppose. When you deny that there is something intrinsically different about being a man, you deny the right of men to be who they are, to express their innermost nature. Denying and repressing masculinity is the same as hating men, you are just trying to excuse or hide your hatred.

So, contrary to the title, your article is just another step towards turning feminism into a Battle of the Sexes. Most men will not take your side if you attack masculinity. And most women will prefer men to stay masculine, thank you very much, because this is what they like about them. Equating masculinity with the oppression of women is a losing proposition. If feminism takes that direction it will turn itself into a fringe movement derided by the majority of people.
